Ramblings from the Coast

it dances,
the wind freely moves.

Feb 2012 Fieldwork.

Brgy. Lambajon, Baganga, Davao Oriental

sonorous voices accompanying
soothing the weary soul of a traveler
 lost in the midst
of discourses in poverty.
looking at the lens of life. how can the winds of fate change?

As far as the eyes can see
colors blue, white and patches of green
will it remain the same, a year from now?

When nature is at the mercy of politicians.
selling in the name of  'development'
how can a rich island still mired in poverty?

For how long it will be like this?
